Not at this time.
What level of protection are the Bulletproof Panels?
The The ballistic panels have a NIJ level IIIA protection. That is the highest level one can have in lightweight body armor. Affective against nearly all hand gun bullets. 9mm and .44Mag bullets.
Can I go on an airplane with the Bulletproof inserts in my bag?
Yes, the bulletproof inserts are totally concealable. The inserts are made of a ballistic PE material and contain no metals so they can easily pass through security at an airport. The bulletproof inserts can travel with you anywhere you want to go.
The rules state that you can not wear bulletproof protection on your body but is ok in your bags. Although bulletproof panels and inserts are ok to bring into an airport or onto a plane, TSA ultimately has the last word. I advise you to contact your airline before you travel to ensure smooth sailing.
How much do the Bulletproof Inserts weigh?
Only 17 - 22 ounces making the panels nearly unoticeable at all.
Are school desks bulletproof? Can a table stop a bullet?
NO. Most guns use rounds with more than enough force to rip through common wood tables.
Do our Bulletproof products expire?
Most ballistic products have a 5 year lifespan. This is a direct result of fibers breaking down over time which causes them to lose their ability to perform as expected. Never rely on an expired bulletproof insert or purchase them used.
Are Bulletproof panels and inserts 100% bulletproof?
Nothing is absolutely bullet proof. The protective materials need to absorb kinetic energy in the shortest possible time. The materials have been properly and viorously tested and rated to perform with outstanding results though in a small percentage of instances, a bullet can pierce a bulletproof resistant backpack insert that has been rated to stop them. But if ever in such a terrible situation, you or your child stands a much higher chance of getting out of it alive.
Are Bulletproof products the answer to our problem?
I do not believe this is so. While politcians are fighting over gun laws, deciding to put guns in our teachers hands, bickering over whether or not to put metal detectors in our childrens schools or ramp up police force, the fact still remains. Guns are still finding their way into our childrens schools and our children are Not any safer! in 2021 there has been 34 shootings on school grounds... And that was just 1 semester! In Pennsylvania, at a high school staduim a couple of teenagers fired shots resulting in police running in, sending a barrage of bullets and killing an 8 year old innocent child and injuring 3 others. This was the result of Police gunfire! While people are diciding on what to do to make schools a safer place, it is up to the parents to protect their lives, because no one else will. Besides homeschooling, this is the most power a parent has to shield their kids from harm.
What does NIJ stand for?
National Institute of Justice. The governing body that oversees performance standards and testing for ballistic armor. It is the standard by which all commercially available body armor is judged for safety and ballistic stopping power.
What are the Bulletproof Inserts made of?
The Inserts are made up of multiple layers of ballistic PE material that is a strong, synthetic PE fiber similar to Kevlar*. It is used in the global protection of body armor, helmets and ballistic vests, just to name a few and is a "go-to" solution for the ballistic needs of Law Enforcement and Military on a global level. Our panels are die cut multiple layer pieces and sealed in a moisture resistant black nylon outer cover that inhibits UV light and moisture. This is to protect the ballistic materials from elements that could reduce the useful life of the materials. By layering our ballistic material, we meet and exceed our level IIIA lab testing requirements.
We write the build date and stamp each panel with a 5 year useful life.
